Week of September 26th

Good Evening!!!  September has flown by.  Last week was a busy one.   All fourth graders completed their DIBELS assessment.  We took our first math test.  Our class met for our first class meeting.  Reading Street started to find it's groove.  I'm hoping that we can pick up our pace this week.  I would like to get Grammar done this week.  I know the students would like the Grammar Jammer.  :)  We are starting Unit 3 in math.  We will focus on multiplication facts this week.  Science has us continuing to look at process skills.  The focus this week will be on tools used in science. I will be giving timed tests in addition, subtraction, and multiplication this week for a grade.  Below is the homework for the week.  As always, it is subject to change.  :)

Week of September 19th

Good Evening!  I hope everyone had a restful weekend after a busy full week of school.  The upcoming week proves to be a busy one.  Monday will be the start of small groups in reading.  I am going to send the first graded papers home on Wednesday in Take Home Folder.  On Thursday, fourth graders will be doing their DIBELS test.  Friday will be test day!  We usually have a reading test and spelling test.  This week, the reading test will be completed with me.  Since it is a less stressful "test", we will be having a math test that day.  Normally, we will not do math tests on Fridays.  This week is an exception to the rule.  I hope everyone has a great week.  Homework for the week will follow.  Students should read nightly.  Please remember, all work listed is subject to change!

Week of September 12th

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are doing well.  We are starting Reading Street this week.  Fourth grade will also be gathering some important reading data this week.  The reading test on Friday will be modeled by me.  This will not be a grade yet.  Small group books will start next week.  So, reading homework will look different in the future.  Please make sure your child reads nightly.  This is very important.  Please note, this schedule is subject to change.  I don't know how far we will get with following our schedule.  We are going to do our best.
